TempoKEY W25 Stuck at Firmware Upgrade

  • - Synido TempoKEY W25 (1.0.0, full battery)

    - Mackbook Pro M1

    - Connected via usb

    - Sofware shows hardware is connected

    - Started a firmware upgrade from 1.0.0 to 1.0.5

    - Got a kind of "Allow/Deny" hardware prompt. Hit "Allow"

    - Controller screen shows "Firmware Uprading..."

    - Software progress bar barely filled, shows "no find device"

    - Minutes have gone by. Controller is now unresponsive, cannot even shut it off

What are my options? Any buttons combo for hard-reset or something? Wait for battery to drain and see what happens? Return?

I really, really like this device. For once I felt a lot more productive that with other controllers in this category.

    Thanks.

  • @valentin  same issue for me with the firmware update getting stuck.

Also worth noting. After restarting the device, it then defaults to have ARP, SCALE, CHORD, and NOTE REPEAT turned on.

  • I was able to resolve the issue by simply forcing another upgrade, even if the unit looks unresponsive.

First update (from my mac) seemed to recognize de unit as a new device. This leads to the typical mac prompt for “Allow/Deny” new hardware. I suspect that prompt killed the firmware upgrade at that moment

  • Hello, I apologize for not responding to you promptly.

This issue is caused by the security mechanism of Apple's Mac OS system. When connecting a USB hardware device for the first time, a prompt will automatically appear. You need to click “Allow” for Mac OS to recognize the device and connect it to the computer software for updates. Please reconnect the device to see if the problem is resolved. Thank you.

  • hello,

I just got my Synido Tempo Key 25 and the firmware reads:

    BT V393.01.00

    soft 010101

    hard 000003

When I click on (MAC OSX) about, check update, it shows a newer version :

    Firmware name : SY023_20251125_V111.bin

    Firmware : V1.1.1

and when I click on update it shows the msg "receive success"

but then when I click on about check update, it shows the available update again, and the device itself keeps the original firmware informarion 01.01.01

how to update the device to tha latest firmware verison?

    Thanks

  • @bonaduce754

    Hello,

Your upgraded version number 01.01.01 is already the latest version and you don't need to update anymore. You can use it now.
